Kafka uses Zookeeper to manage it\u2019s internal state. So it is not possible to run Kafka without Zookeeper. Even if you don\u2019t have access to Zookeeper in your organization, there is a Zookeeper cluster running which your Kafka cluster connects to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, how to list topics and execute other commands if we don\u2019t have access to Zookeeper?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is truly not a problem with Kafka version 2.2 and above. This is because the –zookeeper option is deprecated in favor of the –bootstrap-server option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
